Snowy tracks live snow conditions, lift status, and terrain data for more than 570 ski resorts across the United States and Canada. Whether you're planning a weekend trip or chasing a powder day, Snowy gives you the data you need to make the call.

Our forecasts are powered by three leading weather models: GFS (global 16-day coverage), ECMWF (regarded as the most accurate medium-range model), and HRRR (high-resolution hourly forecasts for the contiguous US). By comparing all three, you get a more complete picture of what's coming — and how confident you can be in the forecast.

Snow depth data flows through a three-tier pipeline. When a resort reports its own snow depths, we use that first. If resort-reported data is unavailable, we pull readings from nearby SNOTEL stations maintained by the USDA. As a final fallback, we estimate snow depth from weather model output. Every reading is labeled with its source so you know exactly what you're looking at.
